Safe Travel After Embryo Transfer
Yes, in most cases, travelling after an embryo transfer is considered safe, but it’s important to keep it light, comfortable and stress-free. Short car rides or flights are usually fine unless your fertility specialist has advised otherwise. The embryo is securely placed inside the uterus and normal movement or travel does not “dislodge” it. However, avoid strenuous activities, heavy lifting, excessive walking, jerky road travel or physically exhausting trips immediately after the procedure. Here are a few simple precautions after embryo transfer:
• Stay hydrated and well-rested
• Avoid high-impact exercise and intense physical strain
• Prefer smooth, comfortable travel over long bumpy journeys
• Take medications exactly as prescribed
• Listen to your body and report any unusual symptoms to your doctor
